Arrived in New York on August 15, 1901 from Liverpool, England on the Oceanic.

Mr. Thomas Pilkington died at his home in Stumptown, Sunday morning, of Bright's disease of the kidneys. Funeral services were held in the Episcopal Church Wednesday afternoon, Rev. Mitchell officiating. Interment Umbria Cemetery.

Mrs. Elizabeth Pilkington, widow of the late Thomas Pilkington, of Stumptown, whose death occurred last Friday, was buried at Osceola on Sunday. She was aged about 67 years, a member of the Episcopal church, and a lady held in high esteem by a large circle of friends. She is survived by eleven sons and daughters, two of whom, Mrs. Fred Klett and Mrs. Frank Croyle, reside in Philipsburg.

DEATH: Informant for the death information was Mrs. H. Moffatt, of Osceola Mills, PA.  Commonweath of PA death certificate number was file no. 115098, registered # 43.  It said Elizabeth Pilkington was a widow, born in England, father Joseph Tripper?, born in England, and the name of her mother was not known by the informant.  Mother was also born in England.  Occupation of Elizabeth Pilkington was retired.

Death certificate indicates she died on December 28, 1911 at 11:30 PM.  She was said to be 68 years, 4 months, and 9 days old.  She was living on Elizabeth Street in Osceola Mills at the time of her death.  The Umbria Cemetery funeral records indicate her as being 63 years, died in 1911.

 Well Known Lady Summoned Home

Mrs. Elizabeth Pilkington, widow of the late Thomas Pilkington, of Stumptown, whose death occurred last Friday, was buried at Osceola on Sunday.  She was aged about 67 years, a member of the Episcopal church, and a lady held in high esteem by a large circle of friends. She is survived by eleven sons and daughters, two of whom, Mrs. Fred Klett and Mrs. Frank Croyle, reside in Philipsburg.

MARRIAGE: Number 272, Married July 8, 1865. 
Thomas Pilkington   age 24  Bachelor   Coal miner  Residing in Accrington, Father's name Thomas Pilkington and he was a loomer by profession.
Elizabeth Tryppyer, age 22, Spinster, living in Accrington.  Father's name was John Tryppyer, and he was a mule spinner by trade.

Her Handwritten Will reads:  (Estate Index, Dec. 28, 1911, File # 5765, VOl. 7, Page 223, Book 1
Know all men, that I, Elizabeth Pilkington, widow of Thomas Pilkington, of Osceola Boro, Clearfield Co., PA do make and publish this as and for my last will and testament, hereby revoking all wills by me at any time heretofore made.

First, I direct all my just debts be paid as soon as possible after my decease.
Second, I give, bequeath and devise all of my property, both real and personal to all of my children share and share alike, deducting however from the share of John Pilkington the sum of $ 272.72 amd from Alice Hagan's share the sum of $ 272.72, with interest at 6% per annum on each of said sums added, said sums having been paid each of them out of sale of property belonging to myself for life and my sons and daughters in remainder and the others of my sons and daughters having allowed the purchase on such sale to be paid to me.
Third, I appoint William Pilkington and Wellman Maffet as executors of this my last will and testament.

In witness whereof I have hereunto and my hand and seal this 25th day of February AD 1911.

Elizabeth, widow of Thomas Pilkington of Decatur Township, listed her children as heirs of the property.  The deed establishes the property which was sold...entered into the Record on March 6, 1911 in Book 183 of Clearfield County, PA deeds...Book No. 86, page 193 and Book No. 77, page 367.  Possibly 10 and 52/100 acres.
