Robert Henry Pilkington Sr. married Lena Caroline Gantner on March 7, 1895. They had two children. In 1918 Lena married Thomas Milton Pilkington, Robert’s younger brother. There is no record when Robert and Lena divorced. The brothers appeared to have a good relationship as Thomas mentions Robert’s two sons in his will. Robert Henry Pilkington Sr. married a second time in 1919 to Mathilda Petterson and they had one daughter, Anna Mae Pilkington.
Mathilda Petterson Neff Pilkington was married to Adam Neff, had two daughters who evidently died young (or may have been given away as sometimes in those times, widowed ladies without means had their children taken away) and then she was divorced from Adam and then she married Robert about 1919. Adam was a divorced boarder in the 1920 census and died in Palm Beach Florida in the 1960’s.
