Notes for Roy Elsworth Ritenour
Martha Marks-Lost job due to accident; intoxicated. Spent some time in Allegheny County Workhouse (1950) as he did not care properly for the children after his wife died. When they were married they lived several times with her parents due to financial problems.
Notes for Eva (Eda) Faustina (Spouse 1)
Martha Marks- Eva had menengitis as a child and had difficulty learning. She went to Business College for a short time and on occasion did housework for hire. She spent most of her time at home. She married Roy Rittenour from New Stanton, PA. He lost his job due to an accident caused by working while intoxicated. Eva led a stormy life. They moved often and were helped by the relatives.

Doris Hunker- I remember them coming by train to visit us in Akron. They would stay up to two weeks. Eva came alone with 3-5 children. We always had fun going out in the canoe and catching turles. One time the boys took a coffee can filled with about 6 little turtles home on the train with them. Of course they had to show them to people on the train and managed to spill them---passengers were a bit surprised! Another time we had potato pot pie for dinner. Someone asked one of the boys why he wasn't eating. He said he would eat as soon as he got the weeds out of the dish. He was taking out the parsley!
Jean came to stay with us for a while to go to school and to help Mom but that only lasted a few weeks...She just wasn't in to the strict routine of helping in a family or really being part of a family.

Obituary lists her name as Eda.
