Martha Marks wrote- Aunt Martha to all. Liked to be called "Polly". Her half brothers and sisters used to tell her stories about "Polly".
Martha was an honor student in high school and Westmoreland Hospital. She graduated from Univ. of Penna in1936. She was Instructor/Director of Nursing at Westmoreland Hospital, Educational Director at Delaware State Hospital , Clinical Psychiatrist Nurse Specialist and instructor at St. Elizabeth Hospital- a Federal operated hospital in Washington, DC. Retired from nursing in 1973.
Since neither I or Bill have children the family has gone completely to the DOGS!!! Ther was Taffy who lived to be 17 years old and really kept Grandpa Mike Marks company. Then came Katy and Mitzi and Bucky who lived 14 years. He was the life line for Mike. Sandy was the last in line and died at age 13 of cancer.
Larry Brown wrote-Aunt Martha was a great communicator. She was faithful in writing letters. When I was in Chile in 1965, Martha wrote nearly every week.
