OBIT- Lorene was the daughter of Edward and Mary Beck Rose. She was a graduate of East Huntingdon High School and graduate of Slippery Rock College. She was a retired school teacher with the Hempfield Area School District. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Greensburg, PA and past president of the Women’s Club and a member of the Greensburg Garden Club and the Order of Eastern Star.
Lorene was Larry Brown’s teacher in both second and third grades. Larry was told by his parents that he did not do well in first grade and they thought Aunt Lorene would get him on the right track.

Martha Marks-”Jake had a girl friend from early childhood, Ette King. Etta jilted Jake, married and she and his mother went to Ohio to live. Etta was a childhood friend of the family. Her parents were born in Acme near the Browns. They left the ridge and settled in Scottsdale, PA. Jake pursued his aunt on his father's side, feeling that he might inherit wealth. He did settle the estate when she died. Jake first started to work at Merchant Trust Bank, Greensburg, PA. Later he gat a job with Pennsylvania Railroad as a freight clerk and retired after 48 years.
Jake was active in the Masonic Order."
OBIT- He was a graduate of Youngwood High School, Class of 1917 and was retired from the Penna. Railroad in 1967 with over 48 years of service. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Greensburg and the Philanthropy Lodge No. 225F.&.A.M. in Greensburg and the Tall Cedars of Lebanon Forest No. 77 and the Syria Temple of Pittsburgh. He was also a member of Elks Lodge No, 511 in Greensburg.PA.
