Carolyn E. O'Keane, 82, of Murrysville, died Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2009. She was born April 15, 1927, in Monongahela, daughter of the late Lawrence and Twila Matthews Hendrickson. She was a member of Plum Creek Presbyterian Church and was preceded in death by her husband, John Tracy O'Keane, in 1986. Carolyn is survived by four children, Shelley (Sam) Shaneyfelt, of Plum, Kathy (Harry Steiner) Daugherty, of Trafford, Beth (David) Boes, of Cranberry Township, and J.T. (Michelle) O'Keane, of Houston, Texas; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a sister, Evelyn Brown, of Myrtle Beach, S.C. Visitation from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the HART FUNERAL HOME INC., Murrysville. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in Newlonsburg Presbyterian Church, Murrysville, with the Rev. Marnie Silbert officiating. Interment will follow in the Brush Creek Cemetery, Irwin.
